Za’atar Zucchini Fries Recipe

Ingredients:
2 Tbsp. Journey Spice Co. Organic Za’atar
2 medium zucchinis, cut into “fries”
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
½ Tbsp. garlic powder
½ Tbsp. black pepper
¼ cup flour (any kind will work)
½ cup milk (regular or plant-based)
Optional: A pinch of salt
Cooking spray
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and lightly spray it with cooking spray.
- Mix Journey Spice Co. Organic Za’atar, panko, garlic powder, and black pepper in a small bowl and set aside.
- Pour the flour into its own small bowl. Pour the milk into another small bowl.
- Cut the ends of the zucchinis off and discard. Cut the remaining zucchini into “steak fry”/ larger French fry-sized pieces.
- Gently roll a zucchini piece in the flour until lightly coated.
- Dip the coated zucchini piece in the milk/plant milk.
- Roll the zucchini piece in the panko mixture until it is well-coated.
- Place the zucchini piece on the baking sheet.
- Repeat with each zucchini piece, leaving a small amount of space between each piece.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Let cool for a few minutes and enjoy with your favorite dip!
