
Plant-Based / Vegan Tzatziki Sauce Recipe
This plant-based, vegan-friendly tzatziki sauce is just as delicious and versatile as our original tzatziki sauce recipe, but it is completely dairy-free.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
1 ½ Tbsp. Journey Spice Co. Organic Mediterranean Herb Blend
1 ½ cup cashews (salted or unsalted)
1 cup almond milk
½ of a cucumber, finely grated
½ lemon
1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove
Directions:
- Either finely dice the cucumber or grate the cucumber on the largest holes of a food grater.
- Lightly press out as much cucumber juice as possible using paper towels (you can also use a mesh strainer if you have one) and set aside.
- Add the Journey Spice Co. Organic Mediterranean Herb Blend, cashews, almond milk, olive oil, garlic clove, and juice squeezed from the lemon into a blender.
- Blend the ingredients until well-blended (about one minute).
- Pour the mixture into a bowl, add the grated cucumber and stir well.
- Enjoy within five days.
