Plant-Based / Vegan Tzatziki Sauce Recipe

This plant-based, vegan-friendly tzatziki sauce is just as delicious and versatile as our original tzatziki sauce recipe, but it is completely dairy-free.

Prep Time: 10 minutes


1 ½ Tbsp. Journey Spice Co. Organic Mediterranean Herb Blend

1 ½ cup cashews (salted or unsalted)

1 cup almond milk

½ of a cucumber, finely grated

½ lemon

1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

1 garlic clove


  1. Either finely dice the cucumber or grate the cucumber on the largest holes of a food grater.
  2. Lightly press out as much cucumber juice as possible using paper towels (you can also use a mesh strainer if you have one) and set aside.
  3. Add the Journey Spice Co. Organic Mediterranean Herb Blend, cashews, almond milk, olive oil, garlic clove, and juice squeezed from the lemon into a blender.
  4. Blend the ingredients until well-blended (about one minute).
  5. Pour the mixture into a bowl, add the grated cucumber and stir well.
  6. Enjoy within five days.
